In case you missed it earlier, we caught up with Zac Snyder of SideLion Report earlier today to talk some Lions football in preparation for Thursday’s Lions-Bills preseason tilt. Here’s a bit of good news: the Bills just announced that Buffalo’s home contests against the Raiders (the Sept. 18 home opener) and the Eagles (10/9) have sold out. In addition, the home game against the Patriots on Sept. 25 has “limited” seats still available, and should become a third sellout soon. Sellouts are important for two reasons: one, it ensures the game will be televised locally. For those of us (like me) that live in the blackout area, that’s pretty important. NFL teams were required to meet a roster limit of 80 by Tuesday afternoon. After releasing six players Sunday, the Bills still had 81 players, meaning at least one more player needed to get the axe this afternoon. The Bills have announced that the unlucky player is undrafted rookie inside linebacker Brad Jefferson. With the Bills drafting two inside linebackers, moving Arthur Moats to the inside, and signing Kirk Morrison, there just wasn’t much of a chance for Jefferson to make the squad. I know for many of you out there, today is a holiday: Madden release day. With Madden ’12 hitting the market today, I thought it would be interesting to get everyone’s reactions. Have you played the game yet? What do you think of it so far?   Feel free to give a longer version of your thoughts in the comments. Sadly, our beloved Bills are among the game’s lowest-rated teams (73), with only the Bengals (71) and Cardinals (a pre-Kevin Kolb 70) getting saddled with a worse rating.
