The weekend couldn’t have worked out much better for the Buffalo Bills. Losses by the Houston Texans, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Indianapolis Colts moved the Bills a little closer. Then the Bills picked up a huge win against the Kansas City Chiefs, followed by the Miami Dolphins' huge loss against the Tennessee Titans.

The Baltimore Ravens took care of business, defeating the Los Angeles Rams in overtime and the Cleveland Browns apparently have a fountain of youth in their locker room, given how well Joe Flacco has played the last two weeks. The Dolphins loss and the Chiefs loss further muddle the AFC as well. It's going to be a ton of fun down the stretch as we move closer to the playoffs.

Baltimore became the first AFC team to reach ten wins on the season but the way this season is shaping up, I wouldn't be surprised if they fall out of the top seed and the Texans climb to the top. Okay, I'm kidding but this has been one of the most unpredictable seasons I can remember in a long time, but it makes it a ton of fun, especially for those of us who like to try to predict this wacky stuff.

Speaking of predictions, I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Pittsburgh Steelers can't keep pace with the rest of the conference and when it's all said and done, they are on the outs and the Bills are in. And I'm telling you now, no one wants Josh Allen and the Bills in the playoffs. But let's take a look at how things break down as of now, after week 14.

AFC Playoff Picture

1. Baltimore Ravens - (10 - 3)

2. Miami Dolphins (9 - 4)

3. Kansas City Chiefs (8 - 5)

4. Jacksonville Jaguars (8 - 5)

5. Cleveland Browns (8 - 5)

6. Pittsburgh Steelers (7 - 6)

7. Indianapolis Colts (7 - 6)

In The Hunt

8. Houston Texans (7 - 6)

9. Denver Broncos (7 - 6)

10. Cincinnati Bengals (7 - 6)

11. Buffalo Bills (7 - 6)

A few scenarios could play out and land the Bills in the playoffs, but I'll get into that in a later article. Let's look at some of these teams currently ahead of the Bills. First of all, some fans keep making a thing about the Bills' conference record, but they currently sit at 4 - 5 and five of the teams ahead of them have anywhere from three to five conference wins themselves, so the Bills are only a game behind two of them, which is the Steelers and Colts.

So much is still up for grabs in the AFC, including seeding, home-field advantage, and division titles. With the Chiefs' loss to the Bills, Kansas City is only a game ahead of the Broncos now and they split their head-to-head matchups. Seems crazy to consider the possibility of the Chiefs not winning the division but that's where we are. Ultimately, I don't think it happens, but you never know in the AFC this year.
