Buffalo Bills odds to win the division: Can Buffalo take AFC East crown?

I hope you went ahead and listened to my advice yesterday when I told you to bet on the Bills to make the playoffs because after the Dolphins' loss on Monday night, their odds have improved even further from +118 to +100.

Now, not only are they almost a coin flip to make the playoffs, but they also have a chance to win the AFC East. Let's take a look at the latest divisional odds and then I'll break down their path to glory.

Bills AFC East Odds

Let's be honest, it's still a bit of a long shot for the Bills to win the AFC East, but after their route seemed impossible on Monday morning, there's all of a sudden a chance of it happening. At +310 odds, the Bills have an implied probability of 24.39% of winning the division. A $100 bet would win you a profit of $310 if they're able to achieve the feat.

The Bills, at 7-6, are currently two games behind the Dolphins at 9-5, which means the Bills will need to go at least 3-1 and the Dolphins would need to go 1-3 at best for this to go to a tiebreaker. Luckily for the Bills, the final game of the season will come against the Dolphins and since the Bills already beat them once this year, if Buffalo can tie the Dolphins record with a win in Week 18, the Bills would be given the nod based on tiebreaker.

The most promising aspect of the Bills' path to the divisional crown is the Dolphins remaining schedule. They're big favorites against the Jets in Week 15, but then take on the Cowboys, Ravens, and Bills. That's certainly not an easy final stretch of the season and going 1-2 heading into Week 18 certainly isn't out of the question.

Unfortunately, the Bills have a tough matchup in Week 15, but sportsbooks have them set as two-point favorites. They then have favorable games against the Chargers and Patriots before facing the Dolphins.

With all of that being said, I think the Bills are absolutely worth a bet to win the division. They're trending in the right direction and the Dolphins are certainly not. Furthermore, if the Bills can go 4-0 down the stretch and the Dolphins lose one of their two games against the Ravens and Cowboys, the AFC East belongs to Buffalo.
