Well, Bills Mafia, you finally found out who the Buffalo Bills' next head coach is. Many were surprised to know that it would be none other than our former offensive coordinator, Joe Brady.

With Brady being an offensive-minded coach, he worked hard with the quarterback to help the Bills become one of the highest-scoring and most efficient teams in the league. Going forward, he will still have a lot of input on what Allen does to continue working on plays to help the team become a playoff contender.

Now that Allen is 29, heading into his age-30 season, it's time for him to shine, as he isn't getting any younger. Let's take a look at why Brady was the best head coach choice for the Bills to sign in order for Allen to break out next season.

5 reasons why now is the time for Bills to hire Joe Brady for Josh Allen to shine now

1. Keeping continuity while still looking to win a Super Bowl next year

For a team that is ready to win now, promoting Brady may seem like an odd predicament. But for the Bills, Brady does check off a box in terms of what they were looking for in a new leader. Brady is a young, offensive-minded coach who knows the ins and outs of the Bills' play calls and personnel.

2. Going to a younger generation and also an offensive minded coach

Brady is young at 36, 15 years younger than his predecessor, Sean McDermott, who was 51. Also, he is an offensive-minded coach who already has a great relationship with Allen.

3. Who would be the new offensive and defensive coordinator?

Since the Bills wanted a younger, offensive-minded head coach to maintain the continuity of McDermott's success, Brady was obviously the guy to lead Buffalo into this new era. The question is what the team will look like, as Brady will have to find a new OC to replace him and decide whether to keep Bobby Babich or look for a new defensive coordinator.

4. His relationship with Josh Allen

To say that Brady and Allen have a bro-type relationship would be an understatement. When Brady came here to be the Bills' quarterbacks coach in 2022 under then-offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, he and the QB hit it off with that positive vibe. It was one of the reasons the Billswon the AFC East for the third straight year.

Then, midseason, Dorsey was fired, and in stepped Brady, who brought a contagious energy Allen was already familiar with. Now, he would get to call plays under him.

As a result, the Bills won all five of the rest of their games to finish 11-6 and win the AFC East for the fourth year in a row.

5. Working his way up to the top

Brady really embodies Buffalo's hardworking, gritty culture. He joined the team under McDermott as Allen's quarterbacks coach. Then, midseason in 2023, Dorsey was fired as offensive coordinator, and Brady was promoted.

After a few successful offenses under him and Allen, McDermott was fired after 9 seasons in Buffalo, and now he has made it to the top of the mountain as the team's new head coach.

The moral of the story here is that everybody starts somewhere when trying to make it in an industry, and that success doesn't happen overnight. But if you just keep pounding the pavement and put the hard work in, then you can find yourself up on the top of the pyramid.
