Best Buffalo Bills player to wear #17:  Josh Allen, Quarterback

Wyoming. 16. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Josh Allen. 17. player. Quarterback

Just like Jim Kelly at #12, this was no contest for the top spot. Josh Allen has taken the Buffalo Bills from pretenders to serious contenders in the past few seasons.  After moving up twice to get their man in the 2018 NFL draft, scouts had their doubts about the Wyoming product. He was raw, made some bad decisions, and was criticized for overthrowing targets (see report linked above).

Bills fans know his offensive explosion this past season was catalyzed by the efforts of Stefon Diggs, a pure gift from Minnesota. Allen has circled the wagons in his three years to lead the team to a 28-15 record, with two playoff appearances.

Getting back to the AFC Championship game is this team’s mission. The revamped defensive line should make up for a lack of pass rush last year. One question to ask is will Allen be asked to run less? If the offensive line can stay healthy it may just happen.

Just keep on playing well, Josh, and fans will continue to cheer for you and even graduate with your jersey.
