14) Marcell Dareus, Defensive Tackle (2011 Draft)

Marcell Dareus was drafted third overall a year prior to Gilmore's selection at 10th overall. Dareus was seen as a once in a generation prospect. During his days at Alabama, he has shown to be a very consistent and dangerous player against the run and pass. The 6'3 319 pound defensive tackle ran a sub five second forty-time, and has impressed many more scouts with his athleticism.

Dareus' strengths included his "blend of size and speed, being able to hold his ground, getting off blocks in a hurry, overall explosiveness, and is multi-dimensional when it comes to pass rush moves".

Dareus was a plug and play starter right away for the Bills, as they were in desperate need of a playmaker to pair along with Kyle Williams. Dareus would be one of the best, if not the best defensive lineman on the Bills during his peak with the team. Pairing Dareus up with notable free agent pickups Mario Williams and Jerry Hughes, have helped make the Bills defensive line one of the most feared defenses in the entire NFL.

Dareus would be able to secure two Pro Bowls, and a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2014, where he would record 10 sacks, 12 TFLs and 49 total tackles with the dominant Buffalo Bills defense.

Although, Dareus's prime was short-lived, and started to produce much less after he signed an extension with Buffalo. Dareus would then be traded to Jacksonville in the middle of the 2017 season and be out of the NFL after the 2019 season.
