Top 15 greatest draft picks in Buffalo Bills history
4. Josh Allen, Quarterback, 2018 Draft
Everyone expected this guy to be on the list. Josh Allen, came into the NFL as a tall, raw and athletic talent with a rocket arm. Though there were many critics that say how inaccurate he was in college and that he wouldn't succeed in the NFL.
For the first two years, he wasn't the most impressive passer by any means. He was more of a run first quarterback but showed flashes of making ridiculous throws that not many other players can make, which in reason made Bills fans swear that the kid was special and will be a threat in the NFL.
Then his third year came rolling around, and along with the acquisition of Stefon Diggs in free agency, those two took the league by storm. Allen's flashy plays began happening on a gamely basis, became much more consistent with his accuracy which made him quickly jump up from potentially a top 25 quarterback in the league, to top 5 in one year.
Allen also broke multiple franchise records as well, such as the single season passing yards and touchdowns record, single game rushing yards record by a quarterback, most career rushing touchdowns by a quarterback, and many more to name.
For three seasons in a row, Allen has recorded over 40 total touchdowns with over 4,700 total yards, and if Allen and Partick Mahomes record at least 35 passing touchdowns this upcoming season, those two would be the first and only quarterbacks in NFL history to record at least 35 touchdown passes in four consecutive seasons.
Although something Allen hasn't done yet that Jim Kelly has accomplished is making it to a Super Bowl. Though Allen's only 27 years old, is considered a generational talent by experts, and has the ability to carry an offense purely with his passing and running ability, he is undoubtedly a top five player on this list and could be the best when it's all said and done.
