Tom Brady calls his shot on the next first-time Super Bowl winning QB

Tom Brady had some interesting comments, including being open to coming back to the league, but also who he believes the next quarterback will be to win their first Super Bowl.

Everyone wants to know what Tom Brady is saying these days and I have to be honest, even as a Bills fan, I'm looking forward to hearing him on NFL broadcasts this coming season. Call me crazy, but maybe he's the next John Madden. That guy my grandkids know only as a commentator and the best in the business. During a "barbershop" conversation, Brady was asked who he thinks will be the next quarterback to win a Super Bowl that hasn't won yet. Here is what he said.

"I like Josh Allen...a lot. I think he's, I'd say, I pick Josh Allen. Yeah, I like Josh a lot as a guy, as a leader....."

Brady went on to say the Bills have to get past the Chiefs first. Could that happen this season? I think if you took a poll right now, the answer most fans, both Bills fans and other fanbases would say is no. While it's hard to envision a world where the Bills get to the Super Bowl in 2024, it's not out of the question. Led by Josh Allen, the Bills are never out of contention.

Can the Buffalo Bills get it done in 2024?

I get it though, it's a hard argument to sell, given the roster turnover. Two of the offensive line positions will have a new starter in place, Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis are out, and the starting safety duo of Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer are out as well. There are questions with Von Miller and uncertainties surrounding Gregory Rousseau and AJ Epenesa and whether they can take another step up in production. Tre'Davious White was released, reserve linebacker Tyrel Dodson is out, and Dane Jackson took a new gig elsewhere too. Buffalo has 11 picks in this year's draft, beginning with the 28th overall pick, and will rebuild the roster.

The 2024 NFL Draft is around the corner and is the next step in building up the Bills roster. I do not doubt that Brandon Beane will turn over every possible stone to fill the roster with talent and put the Bills in a position to compete once again. But like Brady said, Josh Allen and the Bills have to get past the Kansas City Chiefs. Can they do it? Time will tell but they will be ready when the 2024 NFL season kicks off in September.
