The Buffalo Bills defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and now have a chance to rest up and get somewhat healthy. The team will enjoy a mini-bye until they travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals, in what I believe is a must-win, but we aren't here to talk about that just yet. In the meantime, we'll see how the rest of the AFC fares this weekend.
What we will talk about is some of the latest news and notes about the Buffalo Bills. They currently sit at 5 - 3 and in second place in the AFC East; however, depending on what happens this weekend with the Miami Dolphins matchup with the New England Patriots, they could find themselves in first place heading into November.
The Bills had some bright spots in last night's game, and they had some new weapons begin to emerge. On the flip side, they still have a few things they need to get answered. The trade deadline is Tuesday at 4 PM ET and it's unknown if the Bills will be looking to add any new pieces. The defensive side of the ball could use an infusion of talent, given the injuries sustained on that side of the ball.
There are a few players I think Buffalo could target before the deadline passes but the team doesn't have much in terms of the salary cap and would Brandon Beane be willing to give up any first-round picks in a deal to bolster this roster? For what it's worth, it wouldn't be the first time. He gave up a first-round pick and then some to acquire Stefon Diggs.
