The Buffalo Bills are going to have some tough decisions when it comes time to cut the roster down to 53 players.

Wide Receiver (6)

Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Khalil Shakir, Deonte Harty, Trent Sherfield, Justin Shorter

The first two are pretty self-explanatory. The Diggs drama was blown out of the water by the media and all seems to be well with one of the game's best. Gabe Davis will be back as the number two receiver for a second straight year, and look to improve on a solid year.

Khalil Shakir was impressive in minimal playing time last year and seems primed for an increased role and the opportunity for the number three receiver position. Newcomer Deonte Harty brings tons of speed and agility to the core and is loaded with potential ready to be unlocked. The Bills handed him a pretty significant deal and have a plan for him.

Trent Sherfield also brings speed and upgrades the back end of the Bills’ receiving core. Justin Shorter is this year’s fifth-round selection from the draft and is massive, at 6’4” and 225lbs, giving the Bills some size at receiver. Brandon Beane says the Bills took him in the fifth because they felt like he would make the team. He will have to be able to play special teams though.

Tight End (3)

Dawson Knox, Dalton Kincaid, Quintin Morris

Dawson Knox will enter the season as the Bills’ number-one tight end, like in years past. Although this time, rookie first-rounder Dalton Kincaid is right behind him. The Bills didn’t draft Kincaid in round one to not use him, especially when they needed to add firepower to the offense.

The Bills might run more two tight end sets, and Kincaid might be used as more of a receiver, but the top two tight ends will be Knox and Kincaid.

Morris shocked everyone last year when he beat out O.J. Howard for a roster spot. He looked good and even contributed during the season. The Bills keep three tight ends again, especially because they only kept six receivers, based on that Kincaid will be used more like a receiver.
