5 Recent Buffalo Bills additions already on the chopping block in 2024
Brandon Beane went to work in a big way this offseason in rebuilding several aspects of the Buffalo Bills roster. Through free agency, trades, and the draft, the Bills roster will look more different than we've seen in the last few years, potentially two new starting safeties, and new depth along the defensive front and linebackers. On the offensive side, only one wide receiver on the roster has caught a regular season pass from Josh Allen. Several new receivers were signed via free agency, plus the addition of top pick Keon Coleman. But all of these players won't make the 53-man roster. Some will be added to the practice squad, while others will be cut.
Of the 90 players, only 53 will make the roster. Another 16 will be added to the practice squad, and it's possible that Beane will sign another free agent or two, maybe he'll pull off another trade. Time will tell, but we've got five players that could be cut candidates already.

Will Clapp - Center
When the Bills drafted Sedrick Van Pran-Granger, Will Clapp's chances to make the Bills roster took a hit. With Connor McGovern moving to center, and Van Pran-Granger, there isn't much room left for Clapp on the 53-man roster. I see him getting cut and possibly added to the team's practice squad. Last season with the Chargers, he recorded 702 snaps, committing only one penalty, and allowed a sack. However, the PFF grades were not kind, earning an overall of 56.7.
