Is this the breakout year for Greg Rousseau?

The Buffalo Bills have appeared to have a few swings and miss when it comes to the defensive ends they have drafted recently. However, Greg Rousseau has not fallen into that category and looks ready to have a breakout season in 2023.

Rousseau was the 30th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and was a bit of an unknown after really only one season at the college level. He certainly had impressive measurables but it remained to be seen if it would all come together.

As a rookie, Rousseau showed some flashes and finished with four sacks and start all 17 games. This past season he improved to finish the year with eight sacks and 14 QB hits in only 13 games after suffering an ankle injury midseason.

He didn't have the same impact after the injury but that could have been due to the absence of Von Miller, which was felt across the entire line. Even if Miller is not ready for the start of the year, the team did add veteran Leonard Floyd that should take some pressure off Rousseau and potentially be set up for a breakout year.
