Does A.J. Epenesa build off last season?

The year before the Buffalo Bills drafted Greg Rousseau, they selected A.J. Epenesa in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He would be the team's first pick that year after trading their first round pick away in the Stefon Diggs trade.

However, at the time the selection seemed like a steal because Epenesa was considered a first round talent and probably would have been the Bills pick if they still had that first round pick. Unfortunately, the first two years he didn't make much of an impact with only 2.5 sacks, five QB hits, 13 QB hits, and one game started.

It doesn't seem like Epenesa will be a starter for the Buffalo Bills but what he showed last year is that he can be a very good rotational piece at the position. He would only start two games but finished with career highs in sacks (6.5), tackles for a loss (7), and 10 QB hits.

A.J. Epenesa is entering a contract year and if he has a similar season to what he did last year, the Buffalo Bills should try to bring him back as he showed he can be a productive player on this line.
