5 biggest contract bargains right now on the Buffalo Bills
Rasul Douglas
Bargains are not always just rookies and there will be players who sign deals later in their career that outplay those. A perfect example of that is cornerback Rasul Douglas, who the Bills traded for midseason.
The Bills needed a veteran to replace Tre'Davious White, who suffered a season-ending Achilles injury, and Douglas played that role perfectly. In nine regular season games, Douglas had four interceptions (including returning one for a touchdown), eight passes defended and two fumble recoveries.
Douglas is entering the final year of his current contract and has a cap hit of $9 million, which is significantly higher than Benford. However, the reason he is still a bargain is that he plays like a lockdown corner and usually those players have cap hits that are north of $15 million.
Similar to Rousseau, Rasul Douglas is a contract extension candidate this offseason but for now his cap hit makes him a bargain.
