Christian Benford

Bernard is not the only player from the Bills 2022 draft class that has turned out to be a key part of the defense. While Christian Benford would be the second cornerback drafted that year, it didn't stop him from quickly emerging as a starter.

Benford would win the job opposite Tre'Davious White and started 14 regular season games this year. He had 54 total tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and 10 passes defended.

The former sixth round pick has a cap hit of only 37th on the Bills for the upcoming season and ranks 109th among all cornerbacks in the NFL. Benford should remain the starter moving forward and a player like him helps the Buffalo Bills address other needs being at such a low cap hit.
