3 Key Matchups for the Buffalo Bills versus New York Giants
By Joe Cook
1.) Buffalo Bills D-line versus the New York Giants O-line
Daniel Jones is now officially ruled out of the game with a neck injury he sustained last week. Tyrod Taylor will get the start against his former team, in place of Jones. The Bills have to get pressure. They have been great at it all season and should be able to get it done again.
The Giants' offensive line is banged up and has been one of the worst units in the league so far this season. Daniel Jones has been sacked 28 times already this year. That ranks as the second most in the league, behind only Sam Howell’s 29. The Bills defense contributed to nine of those Howell sacks. The third most in the league is 20.
The Giants as a whole, have allowed 30 sacks on the year, which is the most in the league. Despite missing DaQuan Jones who was the best pass-rushing interior defensive tackle through five weeks, the Bills' defensive line should feast on Sunday Night. Buffalo leads the NFL with 21 sacks on the year, despite having the lowest blitz percentage. Exploiting their dangerous defensive line against a weak Giants offensive line will be key.
