Whether you agree with it or not, the Buffalo Bills have the best quarterback in the league. When the Bills traded up and drafted Josh Allen in 2018, the hope was that he would be the one to end the Bills’ revolving door of quarterbacks since Jim Kelly. Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott hit on this pick and it’s a huge reason as to why the Bills are one of the top teams in the NFL.

The reigning MVP of the league will be entering the 2025 season fresh off a six-year, $330 million deal ($250 million guaranteed) and is looking to bring the city of Buffalo their first Lombardi trophy in franchise history. Not to mention, this is the last season that he will have that opportunity to do it while playing in Buffalo’s current stadium. Their new one, which is right across the street, is set to open up in 2026.

Allen rightfully deserved a new contract from the Bills. He is the heart and soul of the city and is beloved by everyone in Western New York who is a Bills fan. Now, he is set to play the rest of his prime (and hopefully the rest of his career) as a member of the Bills.

While the Bills don’t have anything to worry about with Allen as far as a new contract, NFL Insider Tom Pelissero revealed some big news regarding the NFL, involving the 2028 Olympics, that is set to have flag football played. According to Pelissero, the NFL owners “will discuss a resolution at next week’s league meeting that would allow NFL players to participate in the Olympics.”

Latest NFL news may set Josh Allen up in a very bad spot

Clearly, if this does get resolved to where NFL players could play flag football in the Olympics, there is going to be speculation of the NFL’s best stars to participate in this event. Of course, Josh Allen could very well be in the conversation and that should worry Bills fans.

The last thing the Bills need is their star quarterback playing a flag football game and risking an unnecessary injury that could not only cost Allen a season, but also cost the Bills. Let’s face it, Allen is the only true superstar that the Bills have. While they have solid players who can make plays, none of them have the impact that Allen has.

We will have to wait and see what the resolution is after the league meeting between the owners. However, this is a potential nightmare preview for what is to come in 2028.
