The Buffalo Bills have been very active the last week when it comes to extending their players. They first started it off by extending Khalil Shakir. Then Terrel Bernard got paid, and then Greg Rousseau got his money as well. Shakir and Bernard are from the same draft class in 2022, while Rousseau was drafted in 2021.
General manager Brandon Beane is showing that he drafts, develops, and rewards by keeping his guys in the building for the future. Now, he just did the same thing with MVP quarterback Josh Allen.
According to Adam Schefter, the Bills and Allen have agreed to terms on a record-setting six-year, $330 million deal which includes $250 million guaranteed. This deal gives Allen the largest guarantee ever in NFL history.
A new NFL mark: the Bills and Josh Allen reached agreement on a new record-setting six-year, $330 million contract that includes $250 million guaranteed, the largest guarantee ever given to an NFL player, sources tell ESPN.

Allen was out of the top ten in terms of annual salary per year once the QB market started to sky rocket. Now he gets the payday that he rightfully deserves and is now tied to Buffalo through the 2030 season.
Josh Allen won his first MVP this past season after leading the Bills to another AFC East championship and almost took the Bills to the Super Bowl, but his defense crumbled which resulted in Buffalo’s season ending in heartbreak.
Allen has been healthy throughout his entire career, only missing game in his rookie seasons and he has proven year after year that he is the best player on the field by a mile. He can throw it the entire length of the field and can also hurdle defenders in the open field.
With all of the doubters that were down on Allen and the Bills going into the 2024 season, Allen showed just how valuable he is and that if the Bills didn’t have him, Buffalo wouldn’t win more than 4 games per year.
While we want the Bills to go after pending free agents, it’s important for Beane to get his guys within the building paid and then build around them. Not to mention, the Bills have proven that they are going all in once again with Allen under center. Whether you believe he is the best quarterback or in the top three, Allen deserves this contract and to be paid as one of the highest paid players in the NFL and in NFL history.
