It’s finally here; the 2025 regular season schedule for the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo has the fifth easiest schedule in 2025 and according to last year’s win percentage, the Bills come in with the tenth easiest schedule. We all know that doesn’t really mean anything when the ball is kicked off, but it’s something to get us prepared as we await for Week 1.

Looking at this year’s slate of games, the Bills have a pretty favorable setup. They get their four toughest games at home and all of them are pretty well spaced out. There are a few home and away stretches during the season, which they faced last year, and Sean McDermott has shown that he can have his team ready for just about anything in the regular season.

Let’s walk through my very early game by game predictions as the Bills begin their quest for a sixth straight AFC East title and maybe this time, a Super Bowl.

Way-too-early record prediction for Bills in 2025

Week 1 (9/7): vs Baltimore Ravens - SNF (8:20 pm)

What a way to start the season. Baltimore returns to Buffalo after losing in the AFC Divisional Round last year in heartbreaking fashion. Lamar Jackson will be looking for his revenge after a rough game in the cold and will be playing with a chip on his shoulder as he watched Allen take home his first MVP award. Ultimately, the Bills defend their turf in a tightly contested primetime game to start off the season with a win.

Prediction: Win (1-0)

Week 2 (9/14): at New York Jets - 1pm

The Bills head to New Jersey to take on their division rival and will be getting a very different looking opponent this time around. First year head coach Aaron Glenn takes over after leaving his role as the Detroit Lions defensive coordinator and will be doing so with a newly acquired starting quarterback in Justin Fields. While the Jets have been a thorn in the Bills’ side from time to time, the Bills take care of their business easily on the road.

Prediction: Win (2-0)

Week 3 (9/18): vs Miami Dolphins - TNF (8:15pm)

The second primetime game for the Bills is an early season meeting with the Miami Dolphins. Back to back divisional games early in the year gives Buffalo a big opportunity to take a step towards that division title, and I think they do just that. Allen and the Bills have dominated the ‘Phins since Allen has entered the league and that remains the same in this matchup. With the cold likely not playing a large factor, I do think this game is close, but the Bills handle Miami yet again on a short week.

Prediction: Win (3-0)

Week 4 (9/28): vs New Orleans Saints - 1pm

After a bit of a longer rest, the Bills host the Saints who are going to be firmly in a quarterback battle this offseason. After an abysmal season last year, the Saints decided to draft a quarterback in the second round and shortly after, former QB Derek Carr retired due to injury.

Rookie QB Tyler Shough enters the offseason as the favorite to start Week 1, but will be battling with Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener. None of these three options instill fear in me and likely the Bills, and I see them rolling the Saints at home.

Prediction: Win (4-0)

Week 5 (10/5): vs New England Patriots - SNF (8:20pm)

A third straight home game, a third divisional game and a third primetime game. This first matchup with the Patriots has that weird feeling to it, which is why I could see the Bills actually stumbling for the first time this season.

Drake Maye and the Patriots showed some fight in their first game last year, and I think some of that talent carries over here. New England made some solid moves in the offseason, most notably hiring Mike Vrabel as their new head coach as well as bringing in Stefon Diggs. An early season prime time game that the Bills should handle; this reminds me a lot of the Monday Night Football game when they lost to the Tennessee Titans in 2021 (I know it was on the road and the Titans still had Derrick Henry and AJ Brown, trust me I was there).

But, who was the coach of that team? Mike Vrabel. Ultimately, I think the Bills are just too talented on both sides of the ball and squeak out a win to gain an early stranglehold on the AFC East.

Prediction: Win (5-0)

Week 6 (10/13): at Atlanta Falcons - MNF (7:15pm)

Back to back primetime games and the fourth on the season, what a way to kick things off. The Bills head down to Atlanta to take on the Falcons who made the change in the middle of the year to now second-year QB Michael Penix Jr.

Atlanta finished last season 8-9 and fell short in their with Tampa Bay in the NFC South. Their star running back-wide receiver duo of Bijan Robison and Drake London are who the Bills need to be most concerned about when the Falcons have the ball, and the defense is no joke either. While it’s never easy to win on the road, Allen and company dispatch the Falcons to keep their undefeated season rolling into the upcoming bye week.

Prediction: Win (6-0)

Week 7 (10/19): Bye Week

Week 8 (10/26): at Carolina Panthers - 1pm

Coming out of the bye week, the Bills are back on the road to face another NFC South opponent, the Carolina Panthers. After getting benched mid-season, quarterback Bryce Young came back as the starter with some fire and showed some real promise heading into 2025.

The Panthers went right to work in the NFL Draft getting a new weapon for their starter, adding wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan in the first round. While he has the upside to be a great prospect in this league, the Panthers still fall short in the overall talent department compared to Buffalo. Let’s also not forget that McDermott is 8-0 after the bye week. The Bills move to 7-0 heading into the always exciting matchup with Kansas City.

Prediction: Win (7-0)

Week 9 (11/2): vs Kansas City Chiefs - 4:25pm

The game that is circled on every football fan’s calendar across the world. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are back in Orchard Park for the second year in a row, and this year I think the script gets flipped.

Notoriously, Allen and the Bills take care of Kansas City in the regular season but this is where I think the undefeated run comes to an end. Could this be my wishful thinking that if they lose here, they can beat them in the playoffs? Maybe. Either way, I think the Bills finally drop their first regular season game at the hands of Andy Reid and KC.

Prediction: Loss (7-1)

Week 10 (11/9): at Miami Dolphins - 1pm

The Bills travel to Miami off the back of their first loss of the season, how will they respond? I don’t think that McDermott and this group let the losses pile up, so again they sweep the Miami Dolphins in the regular season. Although the Bills suffered their first regular season loss the week before, they still remain perfect in the division.

Prediction: Win (8-1)

Week 11 (11/16): vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 1pm

Baker Mayfield and the Bucs come to Orchard Park with the Bills at 8-1 looking to continue their electric start to the season. Tampa Bay is loaded on offense both at wide receiver and running back. The Bills defense will have their hands full slowing down the likes of Mike Evans, Bucky Irving, new draft pick Emeka Egbuka and others in what likely ends up as a shootout. I like the Bills' chances in games like this, so I see another W for Allen and company.

Prediction: Win (9-1)

Week 12 (11/20): at Houston Texans - TNF (8:15pm)

Yet another primetime game and oddly, another Thursday Night Football game for Buffalo which equals a short week. They get another crack at Houston after their tough loss to them on the road last year.

In one of Allen’s worst games of the season, the Bills found themselves in the game late only to fall short on a game winning field goal. The Texans, like Tampa Bay, have some serious offensive firepower, but they also have All-Pro talent on defense. With that being said, I think the Bills stumble in Houston and drop their second game of the year.

Prediction: Loss (9-2)

Week 13 (11/30): at Pittsburgh Steelers - 4:25pm

The last time the Bills were in Pittsburgh, they clinched a spot in the 2019 playoffs with a gritty 17-10 win over the Steelers. Just like the Steelers did in that game, I expect TJ Watt and company to frustrate the Bills offense at times.

The massive question mark comes on offense for Pittsburgh. Will Aaron Rodgers be their new quarterback? Who is going to get DK Metcalf the ball? If they are able to avoid making too many stupid mistakes, I think the Bills roll here and keep the question marks alive for Mike Tomlin and the Steelers.

Prediction: Win (10-2)

Week 14 (12/7): vs Cincinnati Bengals - 4:25pm

Joe Burrow and the Bengals have been a team that gives the Bills problems. They boast potentially the best wide receiver duo in the league with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, they have an emerging talent at running back in Chase Brown, and Burrow is a top-5 QB in almost every passing category each season.

The Bengals struggled most of the year on defense and gave up a ton of points, which ultimately led to them missing the postseason. This game has shootout written all over it. Just like last season, the Bills won a close shootout game and also lost one. After beating the Bucs in a game like this two weeks prior, I think they drop this one to Cincinnati.

Prediction: Loss (10-3)

Week 15 (12/14): at New England Patriots - 1pm

A split with the Patriots is a very typical outcome for the regular season, but the Bills will be seeing red after their loss to the Bengals. The Bills roll here and keep the outright lead in the division.

Prediction: Win (11-3)

Week 16 (12/21): at Cleveland Browns - 1pm

The Bills head to another AFC North team with a lot of unanswered questions on offense at the moment. Their quarterback room is a wide open competition with the veterans Deshaun Watson and Joe Flacco competing with newcomers Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. How will Jerome Ford and rookie Quinshon Judkins handle the new look backfield now that Nick Chubb is gone?

Obviously with Myles Garrett returning the pass rush is a strong point, but the Bills have one of the best offensive lines in football. Denzel Ward and the secondary are tough too, but Allen’s ability to limit turnovers has improved drastically in the last year. This sets up as a recipe for success and another win for Buffalo.

Prediction: Win (12-3)

Week 17 (12/28): vs Philadelphia Eagles - 4:25pm

The reigning Super Bowl champions come to Orchard Park very late in the season, both likely competing for their respective conference's top seed. In 2023, the Bills lost in overtime 37-34 in an incredible back and forth game in the pouring Philly rain.

Since then, the Eagles have continued to be a dominating force in the NFL and added one of the best offensive weapons in the game, Saquon Barkley. I think this game is another closely contested blockbuster between two elite quarterbacks, with Allen getting his payback on Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.

Prediction: Win (13-3)

Week 18 (1/4): vs New York Jets - TBD

How fitting, the last regular season home game at Highmark Stadium is against the Jets, the same team the Bills played when they finished their first regular season at then Rich Stadium back in 1973. Ultimately, the historic moment of this game and the fact they could be competing for the top seed makes this a meaningful game for the starters. The Bills close the building down in style and win another AFC East title running away.

Prediction: Win (14-3)

A very bold prediction for a season that has a ton of expectations riding on it. With five primetime games and quite a few late afternoons sprinkled in, the Bills will find themselves firmly in the national spotlight all year. How will they respond? We’ll know in just a few short months!
