It may not feel like it right now, but the 2026 NFL season will be here before you know it. This Thursday, the final 2026 NFL schedule will be released and teams will see when they take on certain opponents. With the Buffalo Bills going into this season with a new head coach in a new stadium, it’s going to be an emotional season for Bills Mafia.

With all of the free agency moves and draft selections that have been made, teams can get a better idea on how the roster will look and who could be diamonds in the rough. Every year, there are players who emerge that we don’t know about as well and the Bills are hoping to get some of that production.

While Buffalo’s roster is not perfect, they still have one of if not the best quarterbacks in the league in Josh Allen. The 2024 NFL MVP has been carrying the Bills for quite some time now and fans wanted Allen to get the roster support that he deserves. This offseason, the front office revamped the defense and also brought Allen two new receivers in D.J. Moore and Skyler Bell.

Even before the additions, Allen was already a top quarterback in the league with his mind-boggling play where he makes the impossible become possible. Yet, he still somehow faces some kind of disrespect when it comes to where he should be on a power rankings list.

Power rankings list has Josh Allen ranked much lower than he should be

Lou Scataglia from NFL Spin Zone recently listed his Top 200 players heading into the 2026 season. The Bills had a handful of players on the list, and of course Allen is on the list like anybody would expect. What should make fans upset is the fact that not only was Allen ranked at No. 22 overall, he wasn’t even the highest ranked Bill. Instead, it was running back James Cook at No. 10.

"Josh Allen, the 2024 NFL MVP, comes in at No. 22 in our power rankings. He actually wasn’t asked to do a whole lot this past season because of how good the run game was, but this is still Josh Allen we’re talking about here…" said Scataglia.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the fact that Cook was given a ton of praise because of his production last season. At the same time, not having Allen as the highest ranked Bill is just plain silly.

I mean, come on, this is Josh Allen that is being talked about. Teams have to gameplan for him all the time and there are times when there is nothing that a defense can do to stop him. He’s had multiple games of 6+ total touchdowns in his career (one of them being last season against Tampa Bay) he can run the ball effectively, and he can even hurdle defenders.

Allen is on his way to the Hall of Fame and the only major accomplishment that he has left to do is win a Super Bowl. He’s broken records, created all kinds of history, and he consistently is the reason why Buffalo wins games. He deserves way more respect than this ranking.
