Josh Allen did it again. The Buffalo Bills' superstar quarterback willed the team to a thrilling 27-24 Wild Card win over the Jacksonville Jaguars with a heroic performance.
Allen's ability to dig Buffalo out of holes is nothing new to Bills Mafia; fans are more surprised when he fails to deliver. However, it felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders heading into this matchup, so seeing him come through is extra invigorating.
The Bills have faced adversity all season and will continue to on their road to Super Bowl LX. Allen has discussed this throughout the year and ostensibly wouldn't have it any other way, knowing he and Buffalo are better off for it.
Josh Allen affirms he and the Bills are built for the playoffs after epic win vs. Jaguars
A reporter asked Allen about Buffalo's knack for weathering storms in 2025 following his Herculean effort in Jacksonville. He expressed that repeatedly being in tense situations has prepared them to thrive under pressure, which fittingly proved true when it mattered most:
"To have the wherewithal to, again, not blink. I think that's the mantra we've adopted this year, of, if we've got time left and we got the ball, we got a shot, and you saw that there today."Josh Allen, Bills' official YouTube
While the Buffalo faithful would probably rather see the club steamroll opponents, Allen is ostensibly grateful for the struggle. He knows that things won't always come easy in the NFL, especially in the playoffs. The 2024 MVP will be the first to not only tell you this is the time to rise above, but also show it.
Jacksonville made life difficult for Allen. He took a beating despite only being sacked once. Moreover, the Bills' league-leading ground attack, headlined by star running back James Cook III, was limited to just 79 yards on 26 carries.

Yet, somehow, nothing the Jaguars did seemed to faze Allen. He remained cool, calm and collected en route to securing his first career road postseason victory and afterward when addressing the media. No moment is too big for him, as Bills supporters have come to know and love, while the Jaguars learned the hard way.
A banged-up, albeit dialed-in Allen and the No. 6 seed Bills advance to the Divisional Round by defeating the Jags. They will face either the Denver Broncos or the winner of the battle between the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers, depending on the results.
