The Buffalo Bills host the L.A. Chargers for Week 3, following their dismantlement of the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football in Week 2. The 10-day gap between Week 2 and Week 3 may be a necessity, as the injury report lengthens. Still, the Bills are 2-0 hosting an 0-2 Chargers team; Resting the injured could be in the cards.
The final Friday injury report is here- Unlike the past two weeks, there's plenty to discuss. Fortunately for fans, this is the place to break down the Bills' Week 3 injury report.

Still in recovery following his Week 1 injury, Terrel Bernard was nonetheless active last week. The starting MLB has played well in the new defensive scheme, and the injury doesn't seem to hamper his play.
This week, Bernard was all green lights in practice until his vet rest day on Friday. He has no designation against the Chargers.
OLB Bradley Chubb - Thumb

Game Status: AVAILABLE
Bradley Chubb has been dealing with a thumb injury since Week 1, but it hasn't slowed him down. The stud OLB will be active an hungry on Sunday, against a leaky Chargers offensive line.
WR Keon Coleman - Ankle
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
DNP | DNP | Limited |
Game Status: QUESTONABLE
After a solid start to his season, Keon Coleman's injury when up against the Lions' Rock Ya-Sin may force him to miss Week 3. Coleman did return to the field after his initial injury, but had to sit in practice for most of this week.
The controversial young WR was the talk of the offseason in many circuits, but has been quietly contributing in 2026. His questionable designation is a fortunate one, as he kicks upwards on Friday.
DB Jordan Hancock - Hamstring
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
Limited | DNP | DNP |
Game Status: OUT
One of three players to be named on every Buffalo Bills injury report this season, Jordan Hancock misses his first action this week. Hancock entered the season with a quad injury, now localized to a hamstring, but has taken the field in every game so far.
With the Chargers in town, Hancock takes a week to recover.
RB Ty Johnson - Hamstring

|---|---|---|
Full | Full | Full |
Game Status: AVAILABLE
After two weeks missed, Ty Johnson is finally ready to take he field. His August 8th hamstring injury recovery is over, and he has no injury designation for Sunday.
WR D.J. Moore - Shoulder
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
Limited | DNP | Limited |
Game Status: QUESTIONABLE
D.J. Moore made magic in Week 1 against the Houston Texans. To start Week 2, Rock Ya-Sin landed on Moore's shoulder, ending his home opener early. After a long week to recover, D.J. seems to have avoided a major injury. Still, his AC joint sprain is no laughing matter. It could affect his play if he re-injures it.
For now, Moore is questionable, a game-time decision. The Bills have no replacement for him, but the depth is currently untested.
DL Ed Oliver - Hip
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
DNP | Limited | Full |
Game Status: QUESTIONABLE
Ed Oliver's freak pre-game warmups injury last week was cause for concern; Oliver has missed a lot of time recently, and his absence is felt on the field. Fortunately, the pass-rush and run-stopping success of the new defense has made do. The Bills are better when Ed Oliver is working the middle, but his hip may not be 100% yet.
This week, Ed Oliver seems to be trending in the right direction. He was upgraded to a limited participant on Thursday, full on Friday, and has a questionable designation for Sunday.
With the Bills set to play a porous Chargers' offensive line, Oliver would be a safer inactive. He'll be needed against the Patriots in Week 4, so perhaps rest is best. Though, if Oliver is truly ready, there's no point in keeping him off the field.
G Ar'Maj Reed-Adams - Elbow
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
Limited | Limited | Limited |
Game Status: QUESTIONABLE
The Buffalo Bills' 7th-round rookie guard has not had a snap this season, even without injury. Not much is known about his new elbow injury, just that it cropped up in practice. With no role on any unit yet, his status is currently questionable, but inconsequential.
DL T.J. Sanders - Knee
Practice #1 | Practice #2 | Practice #3 |
|---|---|---|
DNP | DNP | DN |
Game Status: OUT
The T.J. Sanders injury situation has worsened, as the alleged-starter's knee recovers but his appendicitis requires surgery. There's no accurate measure for appendectomy recovery, but ESPN's new Bills beat writer says roughly three weeks.
Until we know more, T.J. Sanders remains off the field for the short-term future.
Bills Injury Report Summary
Of the bundle, two wide receivers are questionable: D.J. Moore and Keon Coleman. If either cannot go, expect fifth-round rookie Skyler Bell to take the field in his first game.
The loss of T.J. Sanders has been covered extensively but the rest of the Bills defensive line, and they even managed to excel without Ed Oliver or T.J. in Week 2. Even if Ed Oliver doesn't make the field, there's no major cause for concern yet.
