Josh Allen may already be the best quarterback in Buffalo Bills history. While Jim Kelly's four consecutive Super Bowl appearances may be untouchable, Allen will become the franchise's all-time leader in passing touchdowns this season and will pass Kelly in passing yards within the next two years, despite playing fewer games.
The MVP quarterback has become synonymous with Bills football. Buffalo has a chance to go all the way every year because of his presence.
But analyst Jason McIntyre thinks that Allen's best chance to get a ring can only come outside of Buffalo. He said, "I think Josh Allen's got to leave Buffalo to win a Super Bowl, the same way we saw Matt Stafford."

There has been no indication that Allen would push for a move away from Buffalo. This isn't a Joe Burrow situation, where the front office's failure to build a competent roster leads to consistent trade speculation. All signs point to a long career with the Bills for Allen.
But McIntyre isn't the first to suggest that Allen can't win a Super Bowl in Buffalo, and he likely won't be the last. His teams have consistently struggled to get over the hump in the postseason despite coming within one game on two separate occasions.
Sometimes, it just takes time for a star quarterback to break through in the playoffs. Peyton Manning and Drew Brees were both in their ninth NFL season when they won their first Super Bowl. Allen, coincidentally, is about to enter his ninth season in the league.
The Bills have made every effort this offseason to set their quarterback up for success. After a bold decision to move on from Sean McDermott in favor of Joe Brady, they swung a trade for wide receiver DJ Moore. Allen's new wideout may not be the superstar he once was, but he's the best receiver the Bills have had since Stefon Diggs was traded.
A new-look defense under defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard could be the boost that this team needs to finally reach the Super Bowl. Buffalo has the roster and the coaching to get the job done. Per ESPN, they have the fourth-highest Super Bowl odds in the league.
If Allen and the Bills fail to make it all the way over the next few seasons, it may be time to think about a move. As of right now, it's too early.
