Heading into this season, the Buffalo Bills have the best quarterback in the league in the NFL in Josh Allen. Bills Mafia already knew that, and so did executives, scouts, and coaches per Jeremy Fowler from a recent QB rankings list that was put together not too long ago.
Some people may not have been happy about it, especially if you are more of a fan of Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, or Joe Burrow. But at the end of the day, Allen has been the purely more dominant quarterback with less help around him than any of these other quarterbacks.
Now with the new changes in Buffalo, which include Joe Brady taking over as the head coach and DJ Moore coming to town as the new No. 1 receiver in the offense, Allen will have the chance once again to play at an extremely high level like the MVP player he is.
Just in case you may have forgotten about those QB rankings that were put together by Fowler, Stephen A. Smith from First Take reminds people that Allen is certainly the best quarterback at this moment, even ahead of Mahomes.
Stephen A. Smith reminds fans that Josh Allen is the best QB at this moment
“I think for the time being you can say yes. Josh Allen has proven to be an absolute stud, and obviously Patrick Mahomes is coming off an injury and a relatively subpar season to his standards.” said Smith.
“But with Josh Allen, considering the stud he has been and continues to be, even though he’s 0-4 in the postseason against Patrick Mahomes head up, the bottom is that he’s proven to be a stud. You got DJ Moore coming in now, who's got something to prove after subpar back-to-back seasons in Chicago. You still got [James] Cook. You’ve got other weapons that are available to you. Josh Allen is that dude. He is an absolute stud, make no mistake about it.” Smith added.

Anyone that watches the NFL on a consistent basis should know that Allen is the best quarterback in the league. Outside of someone like Myles Garrett of the Los Angeles Rams, I would even argue that he is the best player overall in the entire league. There is no other star quarterback in this league that has done more with less the last two seasons than Allen.
The fact that he won the NFL MVP award in 2024 despite not having a true No. 1 receiver is unbelievable. He’s been able to deliver some great games without great help around him from the wide receiver position. Now with DJ Moore, Allen has the opportunity to grow his game even more, maybe even more than what he produced when he was throwing the ball to Stefon Diggs.
