Last off-season, the Buffalo Bills had to switch things up on the offensive side of the ball when they lost Brian Daboll. They pivoted to their quarterback coach Ken Dorsey, who was star quarterback Josh Allen’s, number one choice for the vacant offensive coordinator job. While there were some highs in the first-year offense under Dorsey, the lows stick out like a sore thumb; especially to Bills fans.

In the first few games of the season, the Buffalo Bills offense, and the team as a whole, came out of the gates scorching hot. The offense was humming and Dorsey was looking like the perfect replacement to Brian Daboll, who won Coach of the Year last season. However, it didn’t last. Launching an FBI investigation should be under serious consideration to find out what happened to the Bills’ offense during their bye week.

The offense was merely a shell of itself. Yes, teams got film and adjusted, mainly by switching to a two-high shell look and bracketing Stefon Diggs; it should not have shuttered that badly though. Diggs himself in an appearance on HBO’s The Shop, mentioned that the execution by the offense just wasn’t there. The worst showing was in the Bills’ playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals, in a team no-show. Despite that, there are still plenty of reasons for optimism that the offense will be better next season.
