James Cook

One of the standout performances against the Cleveland Browns was by running back James Cook, who had a career-high 86 rushing yards and 11 carries. He provided some burst to the position that has been missing over the past few years with a nice 29-yard run and this is what the Bills were hoping he would be able to do when they drafted him in the second round.

While Cook had one of his biggest games in terms of carries and yards, the actual number of snaps he was on the field didn’t increase as he played only 16 snaps, which is in line with what he has played since the bye week.

The Lions have one of the worst defenses against the run and it will be interesting to see if the Bills continue to give Cook the same number of carries they did against the Cleveland Browns on limited snaps. Or if his performance has given the coaching staff more confidence and he could play more snaps over the course of the game.
