It looks like the Buffalo Bills could be missing two of their top defensive ends as Greg Rousseau and A.J. Epenesa are dealing with ankle injuries and haven’t practiced over the first two days. If the Bills are without both, it means they will likely only have three defensive ends unless they call up Kingsley Jonathan or Mike Love from the practice squad.

However, even if they do call up one this presents a big opportunity for someone like Shaq Lawson to make an impact on this defense. The former first round pick has seen his snaps increase over the past three weeks and played 40% against the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings before playing 52% against the Cleveland Browns.

While Lawson has done a good job pressuring the quarterback the past few weeks, with three QB hits in the past two games, the area he can really make an impact will be against the run. Jamaal Williams currently leads the league in rushing touchdowns and is a key part of their offense.

If Lawson is able to set the edge and force Williams back into the middle, the defense should have some success slowing him down.
