Buffalo Bills Trade Target: D’Ernest Johnson

Another running back who could be available and likely wouldn’t cost too much is Cleveland Browns running back D’Ernest Johnson. The Browns have one of the best backfields in the NFL and Johnson doesn’t get many opportunities with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt ahead of him.

This season, Johnson doesn’t have a single carry but last year in two starts he had 41 carries, 245 rushing yards, nine receptions, 80 receiving yards, and one touchdown.

Similar to Akers, the potential certainly is there but the question the Buffalo Bills need to answer is does D’Ernest Johnson bring anything more to this offense than Devin Singletary? I would be more confident in D’Ernest Johnson making more of an impact than Cam Akers but if the Bills add Johnson without trading Singletary or Moss, the backfield becomes very crowded.
