Buffalo Bills Trade Target: David Montgomery

Of all the running backs on this list, David Montgomery is probably the one running back that makes the most sense for what the Buffalo Bills need for the run game. He is a veteran running back that has shown in his career that he can be a featured running back that can contribute on the ground but also through the air.

In his fourth season in the league, he already has over 3,000 career rushing yards with over 200 rushing attempts each of the past two years. He also had over 40 receptions and 300 receiving yards each year during that stretch and 17 total touchdowns.

It also makes sense for the Chicago Bears to explore a trade for David Montgomery because the Bears are struggling this year with a 2-4 record to this point. They are unlikely to make a push for a playoff spot and Montgomery is in the final year of his contract.

The Bears also have another good running back on the roster in Khalil Herbert who has played well when given the chance. They would probably want to open up additional snaps for Herbert for the remainder of the season to see if he can be that featured running back.
