4 Buffalo Bills who shined in preseason win over the Denver Broncos

It’s been difficult to observe the Bills this summer and not see Khalil Shakir flourish in his role. Local media has raved about Shakir’s playmaking ability and believe he is a lock to make this Bills roster. He’s been all over the field for Buffalo, returning punts and running down the field on special teams.

Last week, Khalil Shakir led all pass catchers in receiving. He just seems to have a knack for being around the ball. On Saturday, Shakir again led all receivers with three receptions, on three targets, and 59 yards. He was able to find a way to get open throughout the afternoon.

At the end of the first half in a two-minute drill, Shakir hauled in a pair of crucial passes to help the Bills down the field on their way to a touchdown.

Even though the Bills’ Top 3 receivers suited up in this matchup, Shakir was still able to lead the teams in receiving. He has been a spark plug in an already crowded receiver room. With the versatility he provides the Bills on offense and special teams, it’s going to be hard for him not to make the roster. And given the same opportunities, Shakir may continue to shine well into the regular season.
