53-man roster projections for Buffalo Bills after first preseason game

The Buffalo Bills are going to have some tough decisions to make at the wide receiver position, especially with the way Isaiah Hodgins has played recently. It would make sense that the Bills only keep six wide receivers on the 53-man roster and at this point, I believe Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, Isaiah McKenzie, and Khalil Shakir are the only locks on the team.

This leaves Jake Kumerow, Isaiah Hodgins, and Jamison Crowder as the three players competing for those final two spots. The reason that Crowder is the player left off is that he probably has the most trade value and doesn’t have position flexibility as he is almost exclusively a slot receiver. The fact that he has a modest contract, he could be a player that could generate some interest in the trade market.

This leaves Jake Kumerow, who has been almost exclusively a special teams contributor while Hodgins likely is the better option as the backup on the outside. This would keep McKenzie and Shakir as the primary slot receivers and this group of wide receivers gives the Buffalo Bills a good mix of players with different skill sets.
