Tight Ends (2)

Dawson Knox, O.J. Howard

The battle at tight end also seems to be competitive, but not for good reason. The Buffalo Bills brought in O.J. Howard as a free agent with the hope that he could give this offense a serious threat as a second tight end behind Dawson Knox.

However, Howard has not made a big impact so far in training camp and the preseason was no different with only one target and no receptions.

Meanwhile, he could be pushed by Tommy Sweeney but the former seventh round pick wasn’t any more productive against the Colts with zero receptions on two targets.

The Buffalo Bills are going to need someone to step up to fill the role behind Knox if they hope to run more two-tight end sets this season. Both players are going to have a chance to make their presence known but at this rate, it would be surprising to see the team carry more than two on the 53-man roster.
