Running Back (6)

The running back position has the first big change to the 53-man roster as I believe Raheem Blackshear now has a real chance to make the regular season roster.

Blackshear was an undrafted free agent signing out of Virginia Tech and against the Colts showed a little bit of everything. He would have six rushing attempts for 11 yards and two rushing touchdowns along with four receptions for 60 yards.

However, the reason he improved his chances was his ability in the return game. He returned both kickoffs and punts with two kickoff returns for 34 yards and one punt return for 16 yards.

If Blackshear is able to handle both responsibilities, it opens up more options for the coaching staff. This could allow someone like Isaiah McKenzie to focus exclusively on being the starting slot receiver.
