Buffalo Bills 2022 leader in sacks: Von Miller

One of the Bills’ biggest weaknesses was their pass rush. The team did their best to rectify their defensive line when they drafted Greg Rosseau and Boogie Basham in the 2021 NFL Draft. However, it wasn’t enough for Buffalo to make it over the hump and defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs.

Needing more firepower for their pass rush, the Bills signed two-time Super Bowl champion Von Miller during the free agency period. Miller was traded from the Denver Broncos to the Los Angeles Rams midway through the 2021 season, helping the team win their second Super Bowl in franchise history.

Notably, he notched four sacks in the playoffs. Overall, the three-time All-Pro put up very solid numbers, accumulating 9.5 sacks while playing for both Denver and L.A.

It might be a tall order for Miller to be the team leader in sacks, given that he’s 33 years old. However, not a single defensive player on the Bills had a higher sack total in 2021 than Miller. The Bills already had the number one pressure rate in the league last year, and a great pass rusher in Miller will surely make Buffalo’s defensive line more lethal.
