Defensive Tackle (5)

Ed Oliver, Tim Settle, Daquan Jones, Jordan Phillips, Eli Ankou

Cut: Brandin Bryant, Prince Emili, CJ Brewer

The Buffalo Bills had more turnover at the defensive tackle than any other position on the roster. The only familiar face who played significant snaps last season is Ed Oliver, who will likely be one of the Bills best defensive players this season.

Alongside Oliver are some new signings in Tim Settle, Daquan Jones, and former Buffalo Bill Jordan Phillips. All three of these guys are roster locks and look to all have roles on the defensive line rotation. The Bills may keep a fifth defensive tackle, and I think they should. That spot would be between Eli Ankou and Brandin Bryant, and I think Ankou currently has the edge. He is a bigger lineman who has shown some promise in five games with the Bills.

This group is relatively straightforward for the Bills. While keeping ten total defensive linemen is more than expected, Buffalo rotates their defensive line so often that having depth at both defensive end and defensive tackle is extremely important.
