Buffalo Bills player No. 3: Dawson Knox, TE

This is one of the picks that starts to become less obvious than the previous two. That said, tight end is a tough position in fantasy.

Outside the top four guys: Travis Kelce, George Kittle, Mark Andrews, and Kyle Pitts–maybe throw Darren Waller in there, too– there aren’t major tight ends available.

On top of that, it takes premium draft capital to get any of those tight ends.

Tight ends by ADP (per FantasyPros)

  • Travis Kelce (TE1), ADP: Pick14.3
  • Mark Andrews (TE2), ADP: Pick 20.7
  • Kyle Pitts (TE3), ADP: Pick 34.0
  • George Kittle (TE4), ADP: Pick 41.0
    –––––––––––––––––––––
  • Dawson Knox (TE10), ADP: Pick 98.0

So, while a team gets more out of the tight end position with guys like Kelce, Andrews, Pitts, and Kittle, there could be a strategy in going for a guy like Dawson Knox.

Having a good relationship with the guy throwing the ball to you is an important part of football, and in fantasy football, it’s even more important.

Given the bro-mance Josh Allen and Dawson Knox seemingly have, a repeat of the 2021 season could absolutely be possible. And at pick No. 98, the risk is worth the reward.
