. . Sean McDermott. 3. player. 16.

W-L Record: 49-32

Next on the list is the current head coach of the Buffalo Bills, Sean McDermott. He was hired as head coach after the Bills fired Rex Ryan during the 2016 season and this would be his first head coaching opportunity after a number of years as a defensive coordinator.

McDermott would make an impact almost immediately as he would end the Bills’ playoff drought in his first season as head coach with a 9-7 record. However, they would come up short against the Jacksonville Jaguars and miss the playoffs in 2018 with a 6-10 record.

Since that year, the Bills have been very successful under McDermott with three playoff appearances, two AFC East division titles (which was the first time they won the division since 1995) and three playoff wins in the past two years.

It may be a few years before he catches the two coaches ahead of him but Sean McDermott is well on his way to moving up these rankings in the future.
