Dawson Knox

One of the biggest concerns for this offense entering the season was the tight end position and specifically Dawson Knox. The former third-round pick has struggled the first two years and the thought was the Buffalo Bills may be ready to move on in the offseason.

They ultimately did not and stuck with Knox as their starting tight end this season. He has responded with three good games to open the season and has 10 receptions, 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns, including this impressive catch against the Washington Football Team.

These numbers may not seem like a lot but when considering his career-high is 28 receptions and 338 receiving yards (both set in 2019) and three receiving touchdowns (set last year), there is a clear improvement.

However, the one thing that he has really improved in is his catch rate which is at 83.3% which is over 27 percentage points higher than his career-high. Dawson Knox is unlikely to see a high volume of targets in this offense but if he continues to make the most of the targets he does have, this offense is going to be that much more dynamic this season.
