Isaiah McKenzie

Another big question the Buffalo Bills had entering this season was how Isaiah McKenzie would do replacing Pro Bowl returner Andre Roberts, who left in free agency this offseason. McKenzie has developed into being a dynamic, gadget player for the offense but was never asked to be a consistent returner in the NFL.

Well, he has been productive through three games and there hasn’t been much of a drop in production making the switch at the position. On kickoffs, McKenzie currently ranks second in the league with an average of 35.8 yards per return on four kickoff returns with a season-long of 75.

He has done an equally good job on punt returns with an average of 10 yards per punt, which ranks fifth in the NFL among returners with five or more punt returns this year.

The impact of McKenzie to pick up these yards on these returns can’t go unstated because it helps put the offense in an advantageous position and helps the Buffalo Bills as a whole in the field position battle over the course of a game.
