Another player on this defense that is playing at a very high level is slot corner Taron Johnson. While most teams use the nickel formation as a subpackage this is a formation the Bills defense spend a majority of their time in and Johnson is essentially a starter for this team.

He has had some tough matchups to start the year like the Steelers’ wide receivers in Week 1 and Jaylen Waddle in Week 2 but has done a good job in both matchups. Johnson is also making impact plays during the course of a game with his first career sack this season, which occurred on the first play of the game against the Dolphins.

The Bills slot corner also was the player that forced the fumble that Milano recovered in the red zone against the Dolphins.

Taron Johnson is a key part of this defense and is one of the best at his position in the NFL according to his defensive coordinator.
