Davis Webb and Jake Fromm play well

The Buffalo Bills threw the ball twice when Mitch Trubisky, who started the game for the team, was in the game. However, the Bills elected to pass a bit more when Davis Webb and Jake Fromm entered the game.

Webb, who’d been on Buffalo’s practice squad in both 2019 and 2020, showed pretty well in the first preseason game. The 2017 third-round pick completed 11 of 16 attempts for 90 yards and a passing touchdown.

The veteran also showed off his wheels in the contest, rushing twice for 26 yards.

Fromm, the sophomore QB, stepped in during the fourth quarter and led the team on its game-winning drive. He completed eight of his 13 attempts for 65 yards and was sacked twice in the victory.

One of his throws was a beautiful 42-yard toss on the offense’s final drive.

The pass marked the longest play of the game for Buffalo.
