Tight End (3)

  • Dawson Knox
  • Jacob Hollister
  • Tommy Sweeney

Cut: Nate Becker, Quinton Morris, Bug Howard

A position that many thought Buffalo would emphasize in the offseason you could argue got a little worse. Buffalo let go of Tyler Kroft and their blocking tight end Lee Smith. They did try and supplement that loss by adding Jacob Hollister a tight end who is a versatile player with above-average backup upside. Hollister has not been able to show what he is capable of as he and a couple of others have been hit with injuries early on in camp.

The real hope for this unit is that Dawson Knox finally takes the step forward that Brandon Beane, Sean McDermott, and Bills fans have been yearning for the past two years. Tommy Sweeney will likely make the team due to his experience with Buffalo the past couple of years. Do not be shocked if any of the players listed as cut make a run for that third spot.

The third spot is firmly up for grabs. A potential dark horse to make the roster who could end up on the practice squad is Quinton Morris a UDFA from Bowling Green. A former wide receiver Morris is the type of athletic receiving tight end prototype that has become popular in the NFL.
