Buffalo Bills: 5 players who have stood out in start of training camp
Siran Neal
Another player that Leslie Frazier mentioned before practice on Friday was defensive back Siran Neal. The Bills defensive coordinator was asked about Neal’s development and said he has come a long way and mentioned an interception from Thursday’s practice as an example.
Neal was originally drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2018 and came out of college as a safety. However, over the years he has made the move to being more of a cornerback, primarily inside as a slot corner. Frazier mentioned that this is where he thinks he fits best.
In addition to Frazier, Siran Neal’s teammate, Micah Hyde, spoke about Neal in his press conference this week. Hyde described him as one of the “athletic, freak athletes” on the team and as he has learned more of the playbook he is not making the same mistake twice.
Siran Neal has been a key part of the Bills special teams the past three seasons but it sounds like he may have more of a role on defense this coming season.
