Efe Obada

While the rookie defensive ends, Greg Rousseau and Boogie Basham, will get plenty of attention on the defensive line and are making big plays, the addition of Efe Obada could be one of those under-the-radar signings that pay big dividends.

Leslie Frazier talked about Obada before practice on Friday and spoke to his versatility about being able to play outside at defensive end but also inside at defensive tackle. The one challenge for defensive linemen and Obada mentioned this to Frazier, is that they still don’t have pads on yet which can limit those power moves that Obada wants to use.

Even without those pads, Efe Obada is making a strong impression and Ryan Talbot of Syracuse.com tweeted that Obada looked great during the practice on Saturday in front of fans.

Efe Obada is off to a fast start and is looking more and more like a roster lock with the way he has played.
