Cameron Lewis

Cameron Lewis did not play much for the Buffalo Bills in 2020. Lewis played just 75 defensive snaps for the Bills last season, and made seven tackles. The University at Buffalo product dealt with injuries in 2020 as well. Lewis will have to battle Rachad Wildgoose for the final cornerback spot on the roster, and will likely be a practice squad guy if he does not make the roster on opening day.

Nick McCloud

The Bills signed Nick McCloud as an undrafted free agent (UDFA) in the offseason. The Notre Dame product has great size, speed, and ball skills; but he is much better suited for zone coverage than man coverage. McCloud has good upside, and the Bills will likely want to keep him around as a practice squad player in hopes that he can develop into more than that for the 2022 season.

Olaijah Griffin

Olaijah Griffin signed with the Bills as a UDFA in the offseason after his time with the Trojans of USC. Griffin’s measurables don’t jump off the page, but the Bills gave him a three-year contract with a $70k signing bonus.

Signing bonuses that large are rare for UDFAs, and it shows that he has caught Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane’s attention. Griffin will likely be a practice squad player in 2021, but the Bills see something in Griffin and will look for him to justify their belief in the next few years.
