Buffalo Bills: Ranking the best WR duos in franchise history
3. Stefon Diggs/Cole Beasley (2020-Present)
Next in these rankings is the duo mentioned in the opening of this article, Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley. While they have played the shortest amount of time among the duos in these rankings, this past season was good enough to move them up to third.
Stefon Diggs, in his first season with the Bills, broke franchise single season records for receptions (127) and receiving yards (1,535). He emerged as one of the top receivers in the NFL and was Josh Allen’s go-to wide receiver throughout the season.
As for Beasley, he was the sure-handed slot receiver for Allen and one that could move the chains seemingly almost at will with the way he could get open. He finished the season with 82 receptions, 967 receiving yards, 53 first downs, and four receiving touchdowns.
These two players complimented each other very well as Diggs was able to work the outside and Beasley could attack the middle of the field. There was plenty of times that both wide receivers were open on the same play because defenses struggled to keep up.
The Buffalo Bills are entering 2021 with expectations that they can duplicate, or improve, the performance of last season. If that is the case, Diggs and Beasley could move up these rankings next offseason.
