The greatest Buffalo Bills player to wear #37:

. 37. player. 16. . Fullback. Stephen F. Austin. Larry Centers

One of the greatest pass-catching fullbacks of our time (if not all time), Larry Centers made his impact in the passing game. That’s not typical for a position where you’re mainly blocking all the time, whether inside the pocket or you’re the lead blocker on a run play. Centers got his start with the Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals where he had over 4500 yards through the air in 9 years in the desert.

Centers would continue his effectiveness through the air, posting over 1000 yards receiving for the Buffalo Bills. He even garnered a Pro Bowl nod in 2001 which was the third of his career. Guys like Ted Koy and Ike Thomas were some of the first to wear the 37, but ultimately they did not produce enough to claim the top spot.

Centers would win a Super Bowl with the New England Patriots in 2003 and would retire afterward.
