The greatest Buffalo Bills player to wear #38:

William and Mary. Mark Kelso. Pick Analysis. DB. 38. player. 16. Scouting Report

Mark Kelso was one of the team’s best defensive backs during the Buffalo Bills run to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances. Kelso would play in three of them, retiring after the 1993 season. Kelso took some time to learn the ropes as a rookie. He was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles but he became a career Bill after joining the team in 1986.

Marv Levy used to coach Kelso in college at William and Mary, hence why he made his way from such a small football school to the big times of the NFL. Kelso burst onto the scene in 1988,  earning a career-high 180 return yards on 7 picks that year.

Kelso has since helped out with the Bills radio broadcasts and has tried to design a better helmet to prevent players from getting concussions. Kelso was infamous for wearing extra padding on the outside of his helmet in an age where concussions were treated like scrapes and bruises on your arms.
