The greatest Buffalo Bills players to don 31-50
The greatest Buffalo Bills player to wear #32:
Everyone knew this was going to be the champion at 32, and sadly O.J. Simpson is known for what he did after his playing days were over, instead of his incredible career with the Buffalo Bills. Simpson was the NFL’s first-ever 2,000-yard rusher in 1973 in just 14 games. That’s a ludicrous average of 143 yards per game.
With only six players to ever wear this number, it’s understandable why players want to avoid this. Unless you have been living under a rock or are very very young at the time of reading this, Simpson was acquitted of killing his wife in 1995. There’s also the infamous scene where he’s driving a white Ford Bronco down the highway in LA, leading cops on a slow pursuit.
It’s one of the most memorable cases in all of criminal justice history. The world was shocked when Simpson was released from prison in October of 2017 via parole, as many didn’t think they’d ever see the day. Simpson has since been vocal on NFL topics since he got back into the free world again.
There’s simply too much to write about here. I’d highly recommend the 30 for 30 series about Simpson to get the full scoop.
