Christian Wade

The final player that fans should be excited about seeing this coming preseason is a player who became a fan favorite two years ago. The Buffalo Bills were assigned Christian Wade as part of the NFL International Player Pathway Program, who previously was a rugby player, prior to the 2019 season.

The 2019 season was his first in the NFL, and with the Buffalo Bills, and he made an immediate impact in his first preseason game. Wade took his first career carry 65 yards for a touchdown. He would follow that up the next week by securing his first career reception and going 48 yards.

Unfortunately, that was the last time that fans got to see Wade play as he spent the 2019 season on the practice squad. Then past season with no preseason games fans once again didn’t get a chance to watch Wade and he once again was placed on the practice squad.

The one thing that fans will want to see is what improvements Wade has made over these past two years. He has essentially only been practicing and trying to learn the running back position over that time. The hope is that he would have made enough improvements that he could potentially compete for a roster spot but at this time the only people who might know this is the coaching staff.
